Cat6a. Things I learned running a 10gb backbone upstairs. Amazon sells qnap from a global supply, no idea this was the case. So they didn't come with UK power. SPF+ adaptors used for high speed links, they sell 1gb versions, why? is it better to run 6a or fibre it , I didn't know fibre and option

But now it's all cabled. I have 2.5gb backbone for now. All servers and Nas are upstairs and my lounge is quite for first time in ages.

From the above u can tell I sent the qnap back and got sodola, the SPF adaptors were 1gb against a 10gb socket, slower than the 2.5 ports next to it. Proper 10gb SPF is almost 100quid on top of switch costs. I ran cable I should have priced fibre to compare starting at the switch first, not the run
