depends on which era? for a long time i said i wanted to be a doctor because i was very good academically and my family kind of incentivized it, but when i realized the psychological pressure (and the gore) that it would entail i gave it up and aimed for researcher instead. which i was, for a while!

other childhood aspirations include: astronaut (terrifying! only because i had light-up shoes w/astronauts on them), ballerina (until i started ballet and realized i was not flexible at all), and mangaka, which is... kind of the closest to what i currently do

oh yes, and writer, though i got that out of my system early by publishing a fairytale as a kid and it's been downhill ever since tbh
