Adam, I'm sure you know this as well as I do but anyone with a DOD Secret/Top Secret+, a DOE Q or even L clearance would be called on the carpet for a leak like this. They could very well lose their security clearance. These guys must never have had security clearances in the first place.

Honest question - Are you saying Pete Hegseth, Mike Walz, JD Vance, Marco Rubio, and Stephen Miller don't have security clearance? It's not right to call it a leak - they didn't intend to leak anything - they carelessly added the wrong name to a unsecure, non-government site to discuss war plans.

This is an example of how IT security is only as good as the users. App in use, Signal, is one of the most secure and private messaging protocols on the planet, E2E encryption even Signal doesn't have know messages... but when a moron sends it to the wrong person, it doesn't matter how secure it is.

I don't know the specifics of those rooms, but based on available tech I'd assume they're using similar encryption just with way more protection and procedure to secure the loose ends of the channel (users, keys, etc)... basically, to stop adding unauthorized parties to the group chat. ๐Ÿคฃ
