The only reason they would do this is that Signal deletes all messages after a short time. There won't be any evidence of their fraud and perfidy on Signal and private corporations aren't required to respond to FOIA requests.

That is most probable since all the super powers have the ability to intercept & decode normal Internet traffic. This is why the DOD disallows apps like Signal which travel the public Internet and run on server farms owned by private corporations. For all we know, Signal runs on something like AWS.
