I remember when the government announced the lottery. The numbers 1 thru 365 plus for 2/29 the leap year. Boys starting at age 18 ,their birthday coincided with a number by which you'd get drafted. #1would definitely get called up 366 probably not. Fortunate boys got higher numbers.

My boyfriend who is now my husband and my mom were listening to the numbers being called and my husband's number was in the 300,'s, my brother in the 200's. It was a horrible time. Many friends got called up right away, some died. One friend moved to Canada Rich people had bone spurs.

That's not "random" Not when the most popular birth month (September) has a bunch of single digits, all clustered near THE most common birthday...
