How this man thinks we can stick the genie back in the bottle and go back to a robber baron economy is mind boggling. He may succeed in totally isolating our economy so we can't trade with the rest of the world but I don't want to think about how that will affect our citizens.

Trump says every other country has fooled, cheated, or tricked America into bad deals. Is he saying he thinks the US is easily taken advantage of and Americans are easy to fool? Why do I get feeling not many people will agree with him?

Is he an idiot? Or is no one in his administration brave enough to explain how tariffs work? Or is this a deliberate plot by Thiel and the Heritage Foundation? What’s the endgame?

It’s also the end of an era for everyone, away from US trade. Maybe USA purposely attracted exports with low tariffs to be the centre of global trade. Not for nothing was the 9/11 site called World Trade Center in the first place.

Seriously the stupidest man on Earth. If Canada makes starters for Chevy cars, Trump thinks Chevy will spend millions to build a US plant. Chevy will just pay the tariff tax, let's say $50 per starter and pass it on to the consumer. Trumps manufacturing revolution will NEVER happen, it's fake news.

This is exactly how stupid trump is. He put a 10% tariff - The Heard and McDonald Islands are an uninhabited external territory of Australia. Their population is zero, with no permanent residents. The islands are primarily used for scientific research and are protected as a nature reserve.
