An AI story: I set up a meeting with an expert I’ve worked with before to help debug my Android build. He said he was too busy and suggested Claude. Claude solved my debug issues, but I don’t understand what it did. I keep having issues, I keep asking Claude to solve them. 🧵

The worst part is, I was also robbed of strengthening my human connections so that I have a strong network of experts to help when I ask for things like content reviews (I create content for incoming developers at a tech company).

Surely this is partly on me — I could have tried harder to talk to a human, and I could have worked harder to understand the changes Claude made. But I wasn’t motivated to do either of these things.

I am a person who loves understanding stuff and doesn’t mind hard work. But I also find human interactions to be motivating and rewarding. I don’t like the direction things are going. The end.
