CAN TRUMP BE STOPPED BEFORE HE LEAVES DC IN SHAMBLES⁉️ "I don't believe in building libraries or museums" - Donald Trump as he trash-talks Obama’s library. His idea of legacy is tearing up DC and building monuments to himself while he’s still alive so everyone has to remember him after he’s gone. 🧵

In every case, he’s either bypassing congressional oversight, violating established land-use protections, or ignoring court-ordered injunctions in order to make it happen. Ballroom: he bulldozed the East Wing to make room for it & redirected $352 mill meant for Secret Service security. 2.

Triumphal Arch: Trump blew past DC‘s height limit and zoning protections to force a 250-foot monument that blocks one of America’s most sacred views, Arlington National Cemetery. 3.

Smithsonian History Exhibits: Trump threatened to cut federal funding to force museums to rewrite American history. A federal judge hit the brakes with an injunction. 4.

East Potomac Golf Course: Trump is ignoring public opposition and sidestepped environmental reviews to replace a historic public course with a luxury playground. 5.

Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool: Trump handed out a no-bid contract for his “American flag blue” paint job. Taxpayers got $15 million of peeling paint, algae blooms. Basically a swamp. 6.

Kennedy Center: Trump illegally renamed the Kennedy Center after himself and tried to shut it down for two years because he was embarrassed by artist cancellations and low attendance. A federal judge blocked the closure and ordered his name removed. 7.

National Garden of American Heroes: Your public park. His monument. Trump unlawfully seized public recreational parkland for a private monument project without Congressional approval. 8.
