I taught high school world history for 23 years in NYC, but left the classroom two years ago to focus on helping teachers teach world history. I lead many workshops and attend conferences. https://www.liberatingnarratives.com/workshops/

I want to provide teachers with custom professional development, and I’m willing to negotiate an honorarium on a sliding scale according to your means. Please

My approach to world history involves questioning Eurocentric narratives and centering African, Asian, Indigenous, Latinx, and marginalized voices. I love sharing maps and primary sources.

I love traveling, primarily throughout Afroeurasia. I've been to over 70 countries, many of them multiple times. By learning how people in other parts of the world understand their own history, it has shaped how I approach world history.
