These folks are trying to raise 5k to buy 300 beta GBA/DS/DSi/3DS carts from SEGA that wound up in ewaste so they can dump them. Might be nothing there, but might be something interesting. It's worth rolling the dice.

Video Game Preservation Museum@vgpm.org

The seller has agreed a £5000 down payment will secure all carts from sale to anyone else. We have setup a fundraiser via ObscureGamers ko-fi.com/obscuregamer... please check the OG Discord for more updates.

Can confirm basically every single sonic game is there for the ds / 3ds with e3 stuff etc.

Actually I guess we already know there's at least one cool thing in there: Rhythm Thief for DS. This game eventually came out on 3DS, but has never been seen in motion on the original DS before.

OH MY. This was just for an initial batch. apparently the seller is asking 200 per cart, which seems ridiculous. still, hopefully we can account for a decent chunk of it this way.

I mean. I generally know how these things usually wind up there (tax write offs, dev just kinda shrugging it off, etc.) But WTF?! whoever sent all this stuff to e-waste.
