Oh jeez I found out why… It was because I started to define Vulkan's driver inside my environment file (VK_DRIVER_FILES=/usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/intel_icd.json) to workaround a weird startup time problem with Gnome apps. And doing this was driving some Vulkan-based apps (including Proton) really mad.
