He mentions it down thread but it looks like the main issue isn’t the AI, it’s that the system used DoorDash and drivers were waiting at stores for multiple orders and causing people’s deliveries to be delayed. $100m in lost sales is a lot 👀

DoorDash just sucks all around. They charge obscenely high fees and their deliveries are almost always worse and slower than in-house delivery if it exists

It’s pretty common for a DoorDash order to be like $130, and for ordering directly from the same restaurant to be like $80. That’s including delivery fees and tip

If I’m building my ideal world, food is free and so is delivery. And delivery drivers don’t have to stack orders to make enough money to live
