In an era of tech companies cozying up to an administration that has shown hostility to the trans community there's real harm in de-anonymization on Discord. Data will be misused to expose dissenting voices or the "age appropriate" excuse will be used to gate discussions about seeking equal rights.

I participate in a lot of Discord communities with significant trans representation (because that's common in the video game industry especially) and they absolutely will be fragmented by this change.
