I've been beta testing this photo culling app for macOS. It's nice to have a place to cull photos quickly and without them uploading to iCloud right away. Once my batch of photos is cleaned up, they go to Photos. Also, great RAW+JPEG support. Signup to test if interested: www.photoculler.com
