More generally I think the aggressive conflation of criticism with harassment, and then of harassment with violent threats, is pretty irresponsible to be engaging in. I think whining about lack of resources when you haven't even *acknowledged* problems users care about it pretty pathetic.

And of course bluesky continues to have the fundamental problem which is that it's a heavily moderated "pleasant" space on the subjects that the admins care about (ie, no one can be mean to their dipshit friends or their dipshit chatbots) but it's the wild west otherwise.

i assume you've already seen his "sample spreadsheet" but i am dying reading people posting about it like i'm about to read mein kampf and then opening it to find "what if i got aaron deported from ireland" and "it's obviously policy that doxing is fine, so he's included" and "beat him with sticks"

Like I did mod training for WotC's message boards some ~20ish years ago, and an one of the things they drilled into you was "you can participate in the community but you are not to do so when wearing your moderator hat" which made abundant sense to me. Amazing how we've lost so much.
