CCS will play an important role. We need everything we can get - but it will be too little too late in any case.

Ecosystem-based solutions are by far the preferable option. Technical CCS technologies are from running anywhere cost-competitive. Unfortunately their promises are also used by some bad-faithed agents to deny the necessity of out-pacing fossil fuels ASAP. Rewild nature to protect us.

You are reight. But we need it in certain fields. And there is another benefit: It's so expensive, that all industries will struggle in competition, if they do not find a better alternativ. So do not call them out but instead invite them to move on - they won't come far.
