The most surprising thing to me is the Rust port compiles faster than the Zig repo. I thought Zig focused on compilation speed. Does someone know why this would be? xunroll.com/thread/20530...

Well at least one of the things they did in their faster compiler are in the upstream zig compiler they just weren't using the options to enable it... Another is UB that means the same code might fail to compile occasionally because naively threading it doesn't work well...

Given one thing exists already and they didn't use it but vibe coded a version of it enabled by default one can make some assumptions
