With the removal of some cards everyone ignored and the addition of God Packs, WotC has proven that they are only catering to collectors and thus tarnished the good name of Collector Boosters

I don’t know anyone that collects magic cards. They either play or resell/scalp. This feels like they’re going for the PokeBro Investors who have been buying shelves clean of Pokemon the last couple years and recently Lorcana too.

the biggest sin here is adding "God Packs" to regular (formerly Play) boosters as well which is going to be a disaster for Limited events

Is it, though? They've already advised that stores simply replace the god pack. In drafts, it would be immediately noticeable, and most stores already have a policy where you can buy and replace a high-value pack. It could be a problem if someone hides getting one in Sealed, but what's the point?

They did this once before for Theros and it was a problem then too. Having only "recommendations" for something that is certainly going to happen sometime is kind of a clusterfuck in itself. I'm positive we'll hear at least one horror story of an LGS trying to swap out the god pack and keep it.
