Thank the heavens for sane voices such as this. I too may not find 100% resonance in all details (alas, we’re all different) but I am grateful to see a visible senior researcher ask other senior researchers to behave like adults.

You or I may disagree with some specific statements made, maybe, but the gist of the article (no time for doomerism or complacency from established/tenured folks) stands! "I urge us to be brave enough to pursue dramatic, ongoing transformations."

Wow. This is the first piece I’ve seen that I actually felt was meeting the moment.
