You know what else Sherrod Brown did before he left office in 2024? He made it possible for some fire fighters, teachers, postal workers by pushing a bill forward for them to receive either back pay or a lump sum in social security benefits to over 3.2 civil servants across 50 states.

Yes. People received money. Because Senator Brown pushed this bill forward, the government completely got rid of those unfair rules. Over 270,000 in his home state were compensated. Two retired teachers received lump sums. Social Security benefits for some increased on average of $360.
