It’s also worth noting that it’s mathematically impossible to pay off a $3,600 balance at $50/month if you’re being charged 18% interest. Your interest the first month alone would be $54, which means you’d have to pay at least $55/mo to ever pay it off (it would take 22 1/2 years at $55/mo).

🚨 Roger Marshall threatened legal action to suppress an inconvenient truth. Read our response:

Try it out here: At $55/mo, even if you never miss a payment, it would take 270 months and you’d pay over $11,000 in interest…or over 3x the principal. The newborn child Rogers delivered via c-section would be old enough to drink by the time the bill was paid off. www.bankrate.com/credit-cards...

On top of everything else scummy about Roger Marshall, it can’t be a coincidence that he *just happened* to set the monthly payment amount for this arrangement to be *just barely* below the minimum threshold she would need to EVER be able to pay it off

This is exactly the lesson every incoming college freshman should sit through. Students in my orientation class were astounded at what happened to their bank accounts when they thought mom had deposited $ (or mom had deposited $ and it hadn't hit yet) and bought a $4.00 tube of toothpaste.
