no one was home and the supply line to the ground floor toilet broke loose. Weeks of drying, dehumidifying, asbestos abatement, & demo later the new floor goes in starting Tuesday.

This happened to me earlier this year and luckily I had just put a water leak alarm under the toilet that day, and I was downstairs so I caught it in maybe few minutes. 2” of water. but still had to rip out some ceiling drywall under that bathroom floor. Upgraded to braided steel hoses after that!

we’re doing a mix of blue tile bestagons (bathroom, laundry, kitchen) and wide plank engineered hardwood. I pointed out that the hexes would be perfect for playing OGRE. That did not go over well.
