Winning with black in the last game was pretty clutch.

It is an extraordinary achievement - feel for Ding but wowsers, an 18yo WORLD CHAMPION. Fabulous job Gukesh

Congratulations, Gukesh! And great fight, Ding - forever a member of the pantheon of champions.

Congratulations ! Well deserved !

Congratulations 🎉

An amazing game!! What a way to stay strong in the home stretch of games after taking the lead then letting it go.

Congratulations! Take a bow everyone’s proud of you, you did so well! Feel sad for ding but it is what it is I suppose, good job to him as well though for going till the last moment

Ding was too anxious to make reasonable decision

I don't know chess history all that well, but Rf2 has to be one of the worst blunders ever at this level. Ding was gonna be favorite in the tie break and lost it in one move.

“Ding Blunders” is the Xmas carol that 2024 deserves.

Absolute 🐐

What a surprise. I checked on the game earlier and it looked like a drawn endgame. Can't believe it didn't go to tiebreakers!
