How my agent's plan a feature. Planner creates a plan, phases, sprint & tasks and then an orchestrator runs and makes sure each one goes smoothly. All through an automated task runner I built, this is the GUI so I can observe in real time. Phase 1 of this plan finished just now.

This is more about automation. My system saves all state, boot prompts, can resume, etc. And it runs an orchestrator session that then manages the other tasks through the pipeline that it's been assigned. I chat with a planner, we make plans and tasks, then Clockwork (my app) executes the plan.

Yeah, I use higher reasoning models to create detailed plans and to orchestrate (in case there are problems) and then mid-level for regular tasks or lower for mechanical work (Haiku is good for that). Save! I have a budget system for tasks and the agents are better at this than time estimates lol

Exactly. I burn tokens up front and and our procedure burns tokens, but I'm betting on less churn and long term stability. You mentioned the built in plans that agents use, I also did my own version of that in the chat harness I built, see the right rail. (the right rail has tabs + widgets too).
