my north star for giant bomb dot com work the last few months has just been about making it a playground for the community. the Game Tracker is in beta for Premium, and will go out to free users when I get a couple more things done and tested.

It's been fun to see the site evolve since the relaunch. Surprised by some of these features since no one really expected some of them. It's feeling less like "let's just rebuild the old thing" and more "what do we want this to be now?"

I've been playing with this and is exactly what I've been missing for keeping an eye on new games while working through my backlog. Fucking fantastic. It also doesn't seem like a big leap to go from this to automating the Bomb 12.

This will also be a really fun dataset to examine. What are the most divisive games of the year? What is the GB community GotY? What low rated games have a relatively level of completion and 100% rate?

Love seeing you work man. I work in the same field as you but in the world of UX and digital strategy and I know you don't need to hear this from a stranger but I think you are making all the right choices and that isn't easy on your own.

I recently launched a new website for the Government of the Northwest territories (www.gnwt.ca) here in Canada and we are working on a new website for the Manitoba government. So if you have anything you want yo bounce off someone else working in this space I am happy to chat with you sometime.

I had been neglecting user editorial in favor of structural problems & work on the wiki (still ongoing) but it's finally getting to a place I'm happy with. Premium users' work will pop up on the front page next to our main content cards.

I'm really happy with the new-look lists landing page, showing off some of the items on the list itself. A new search tool has been added to lists, reviews, and articles to facilitate better browsing. Likes + Notifications for users' work you like is on the way.

I'm trying to weave all these spaces together so they feel organic and fluid - track a game's progress, click another one, write a review. Go to the full review editor to add some images and substantive write ups. Your ratings influence the score shown on the wiki pages for the game. Getting there!

Really feels like you’re setting GB up to be the Letterboxd for video games, which I love. Cannot wait to get in there and track some games!
