As a Briton living in Australia, I can confirm this is true for both countries. Politicians, such as Nigel Farage in the UK, who had consistently spoken in favour of Trump, are now much more cautious of such a stance. Mocking our armed forces was particularly damaging.

Trump isn't really hated or despised in the UK. That depth of feeling would be for someone of consequence, Putin for instance. No, Trump is just a joke, a clown. Dangerous but a worthless client all the same.
