I don’t hate my political enemies. I don’t even hate MAGA. They’re just people who’ve been told over and over that the system is rigged against them, and they’re angry. I understand that. We’re going to have to build political coalitions to create lasting change. That’s starts with empathy.

I wish I shared your optimism about them. Given the chance, they'd burn your house down with your family in it; simply for being "woke". At their best, they're troglodytes with Fox News and an internet connection.

I don’t actually have that much optimism. I think their insistence on victimhood and grievance has destroyed America. But they ARE people and fundamentally people have commonalities.

Thank you for responding. I truly wish I had your benevolence. I don't. I won't. These people cheer for hate. Murder. Inhumanity. They're animals. And need to be put down as such.
