#HRC63 marks 5 years since the #HRC recognized the human right to a clean, healthy & sustainable environment. We celebrated this landmark achievement & took stock of the progress still needed to turn recognition into implementation, starting with a binding treaty at the @coe.int.
We were proud to co-organize a #HRC63 event marking the 5-year anniversary of the recognition of the right to a #HealthyEnvironmentForAll. We celebrated progress, reflected on lessons learned, and looked ahead to the next five years of implementation. www.genevaenvironmentnetwork.org/events/a-cel...
We also reflected on what Europe can do. Our new op-ed makes the case for the @coe.int to recognize the right to a #HealthyEnvironmentForAll through a binding legal instrument. Europe should help turn global recognition into effective protection for everyone. genevasolutions.news/opinions/fiv...
