friday thoughts: I think it's important that shiny hunters be vocal about and continue to recommend accessible hunting options like emulation and/or flashcarts for newer folks looking to get into the hobby but think they are unable to due to the high cost of games/equipment they see most ppl use

It's easy to say, esp as someone with them, that nobody *needs* 4x controller modded DS's with capture cards BUT! I do think there is a common desire to multi hunt and it's imo totally fine to boot up 4x MelonDS or mGBA on your computer to experience that at a lower cost

nuh uh you need 67 ds's and a controller mod on all of them and a capture card on all of them and you need to record everything and you need to only hunt 1/8192 and get attached to the pokemon you're using for the repel trick (and never using again) otherwise you smell and are doing it wrong/j

I’ve been doing a shiny race that consists of myself(official hardware) and my partner (emulator) and so far we’ve been having a lot of fun with it. I’m really thankful that there’s much easier alternatives to this hobby I enjoy because it makes it a lot easier to recommend and play with friends
