Speaker Johnson sent the House home—and we don't think they're coming back after July 4th. 🚪 He's done this before. Remember when it took a month and a half to seat Adelita Grijalva?

Here's how it works: When the House is closed, the clock stops. Bills can't move forward, and lawmakers can't force a vote. A new rule this year lets the Speaker shut things down and decide when everyone comes back. He chooses the date. No vote needed.

So basically, freezing out the kicker like in American football. I despise this technique... But I'll be honest, being on the other side hits different when it's designed to work for you and your team. These tactics are dirty and disgusting. No more politics with their petty games.
