Over the weekend I updated my "Laravel Contributors" labeler. It now crawls the contributors to the 21 major first-party Laravel repos (framework, socialite, etc). bsky.app/profile/labe... Once you subscribe, you'll start seeing "Laravel Contributor" badges on Bluesky profile pages (like this)!

Unfortunately, the Github API does not return *every* contributor. For the most recent round of labels I crawled about 1,900 Github profiles. So if you contributed a long time ago, you might not show up (but I may have a workaround that I can experiment with at some point).

If you're a recent contributor to any of these repos and don't have the badge, let me know. (Bluesky labels are notoriously hard to debug, but I'll do what I can!)

This is cool. What data are you using to match the Bluesky and GitHub accounts? I had a PR merged last week and I’m not on here but my Bluesky email address is not the same as my GitHub one.

I’m re-running it right now after a bug fix. Make sure you have your Bluesky profile linked in your gh profile, and hopefully it’ll pick you up this time!

I mean the framework/ecosystem is so feature complete at this point that I couldn't contribute anything meaningful. 🥲 (Although seems like I have 1 tiny commit on Inertia repo lol but I guess that doesn't count as first-party)

Once you subscribe to the labeler you see them, as does anyone else who subscribes. You can subscribe to up to 20 labelers, I think. Many are just informational, like this one. But they can be used for content warnings or moderation, too.
