Why would anybody be surprised by his actions? A person who wants to be a dictator or authoritarian will not accept dissent or democratic values. Now he has no guard rails. Sycophants around him are encouraging for more control, so that they can make more money when he can manipulate the economy.

When you read George Orwell’s Animal Farm you must see the similarities between Napoleon, the dictatorial pig and Trump. George Orwell wanted to expose lies like the child in ‘The Emperor’s new cloths’ exposed the lies of the emperor.

That's because literally every single time someone on the center-right or further has complained about "free speech on campuses and social media" they have only meant "agree with me or else." Literally every single time.

Isn't this the guy who got fired from BuzzFeed for several instances of plagiarism? I guess when you've got no actual talent you turn to working for TPA and Newsmax.

Trump (and the rest of the far right) make a big thing of being pro free speech, but they aren’t. Even where they do say that free speech includes hearing things you don’t like (it does), they still only support if for those who agree with them.
