Watching the astronauts return — the cheering, the tears, the pride. Beautiful. But imagine that same room erupting because a village in the Sahel got clean water. Or a child survived a disease that used to be a death sentence. We have the technology. We have the money. What is missing ?

I am glad the astronauts got home safely but why didn’t NASA just have them get out of the capsule and into a boat and go to the waiting ship. This thing with the four helicopters was very dramatic but I think much more dangerous than just a simple boat ride.
