"If words won wars, Donald Trump's Iran conflict would have ended long ago," writes Stephen Collinson. "But the president still can't find a way out of a war meant to last no more than a month and a half that is now grinding into its 10th week." | Analysis https://cnn.it/48MWtyt

As for the situation in Venezuela. Whilst 600,000 Venezuelans lose the right to remain in the US, Chavistas are turning on Delcy Rodríguez's interim government amid growing anti-American sentiments in the country.

A war with no plan that the US lost. It is now 80 years since the US has been on the winning side. Korea, Vietnam, Cuba, Somalia, Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan and now Iran is one hell of a losing streak.

* Trump does not Care: The "finger in the eye" approach has become a defining characteristic of Donald Trump’s political identity. Rather than retreating when faced with controversy, he often leans into the friction to signal strength to his base and defiance toward his critics. *

It’s interesting how often he announces that an (ultimately non-materializing) end is in sight, and the markets rally as a result. You could practically make a fortune from that alone.

Words don’t start wars. Bombs and bullets do. Trump decided, or was sold the idea that he was omnipotent and the US could do what it wanted. And that decent countries would follow for fear of tariffs. As usual, he was wrong and gullible.

Trump is not trapped by his own strategy. That’s ridiculous. You cannot be trapped by something that doesn’t exist. He’s trapped because he’s a prisoner of his dementia riddled brain, where all his thoughts are limbic random synapse firings swirling in a cess pool of sociopathic character flaws.
