Highly recommended in this context ->

C’mon. It’s not a “new” map. It’s a map format that’s been around for a long time. Nor does it make the world “look different”. It depicts the world much as it is shown on globes (note: which are also not new.) Don’t suggest there’s some geopolitical shift going on here.

One more edit before for this gets printed..

Very different is one term for more accurate....

You can project a spherical surface on to a flat surface but only one thing can be held true. Direction or distance. This map holds distance to be true. Good for planning. Useless for navigation.

Although this freely available version of the Equal Earth is awesome, I might need to put it up in my office: www.equal-earth.com/Equal-Earth-...

~ speaking of penis envy 😳 …this does beg the question, “Who lives in a ’shit-hole’ country now..?” 🤔

I like it I like it. Mikey likes it too.

But it’s still flat, right?

Guess who’s opposing!!?

True, now technology is available and international space station and other technologies can view from space, accurate size

If the flat earth model was true, then a change would not have been necessary. So do Flat Earthers assume that all those clamouring for change are wrong?

Poor New Zealand shoved into the corner there... at least it made it onto the map this time

The proportions were wrong. For instance, one could think Greenland and Africa are about the same size which is far from the truth.

Distorted so that northern and southern territory seemed large (and important) and minimized equatorial areas like Africa and So America. This is much better for school kids to learn about.

Now we know why trump wants Canada and Greenland and Mexico and Cuba. lol. 😂 Africa is bigger than the US. BABY PEDOPHILE be butr hurt! 😂🤣😂🤣😂

Waiting for Trump to call this woke.

Google was quick to adopt Gulf of "America" and Lake "America." Let's see what they'll do with this. 164 countries supported the change. 6 countries abstained. 1 country voted against it - Trumpistan. #EqualEarth
