A prisoner on Monday lost his challenge to an Australian state’s ban on inmates eating Vegemite after he argued in court that withholding the polarizing yeast-based spread breached his human right to “enjoy his culture as an Australian.” https://cnn.it/4zdERXJ

If you just throw in one venomous animal this would be the most Australian news story in news history. They say Vegemite's funky scent throws off drug sniffing dogs. I have to wonder what they're doing with the Vegemite to accomplish this.

First off, would not serving Vegemite to an inmate constitute "cruel and unusual punishment?" (Yes I am aware that may not be true in Australia where everything is trying kill you, so Vegemite might hardly rank) 😜

Technically it was F W Woolworth and then through permutations lost the FW and gained an ' making signs slightly cheaper. Eventually the name was downsized further to Woolco, but alas that was not enough to prevent their decline as signage cost saving were not sufficient.

Buying bread from a man in Brussels He was six-foot-four and full of muscle I said, "Do you speak-a my language?" He just smiled and gave me a Vegemite sandwich These lines hit differently if you're a prison inmate 😬
