Helping someone move their data to an ssd. Or i thought it would be easy, but windows knows hybernation, even tho you select shutdown, and its a mess. First repair, now copy the data please.

This may be outdated knowledge, but last time I had to deal with something like that, holding the shift key down while clicking shutdown + until the PC shuts off was how I got windows 10 to fully power off with zero hibernation or other states active.

I remembered the shift key something indeed. Tried it, dint seem to work. I asummed it might have not registered me holding shift or something. A command prompt instruction later and it whas shutoff and ready to be copied. Something dint work the way i wanted so i for now installed the hdd back.

When i reinstalled the computer with the dad news its just as slow, someone asked if i could fix their kids laptop, and that i succeeded in, installed a ssd and windows. So i still had happy feels 🤩
