Most research mathematicians must have realized that if they didn't adapt after "AlphaGo versus Lee Sedol" & "AlphaGeometry 2" that they were living on borrowed time. Pure hubris to have thought otherwise, imho.

none of this affects me directly fwiw, but it's not like i'm a researcher. it does suck to see one's life's work be solved as a company's byproduct though
