Twitter has been beyond evil for several years now but I stayed to try to fight and challenge and rabble rouse as much as possible. It's obvious though that it was bought to spread lies and disinformation and spew propaganda for several vested interests. It's surreal and frightening to watch.

Over a year in here now rather Twitter and it's such a more enjoyable experience. Couldn't carry on with somewhere that was openly racist, a Nazi who bought it as wanted it to be able to influence his interests and political power. Now what's happened over the last week absolutely no regrets

He was the reason I stopped even looking at X, it was this post, I realised if I was going on X even just to look at football posts then I was part of the problem:

I don't post here often, football X has a large "footprint" so it's still useful for pundits, broadcasters, fans, media. But the level of racism, its intensity and explicit threats are now at the pre "people are going to be killed " stage. And I don't know what to do. Stay fight it or walk away.

well said stan. left there last year and, although i miss chatting with mates and the footy gossip and news from good journos, the bad - and what bad it is - far outweighs the good. it's much better mentally to leave it. hopefully more like urself will follow suit after this week 👍
