I’ll probably read this, but the cover is maddening. One can absolutely disagree with Turing—I do about some things. But the guy was absolutely not a dunce.

Obviously it’s an homage to the thinker. Could be that its resemblance to Turing is a coincidence. But the title is “Turing’s Mistake,” not some arbitrary robot thinker. OTOH the subtitle suggests it could be an unintelligent robot. It’s ambiguous.

Can't see any resemblance, I'm afraid. Or, come to think of it, much ambiguity around whether the unintelligent robot of subtitle is supposed to the mistake that Turing made. @devinsanchezcurry.com seems on the money. Horrible graphics though. That rotated D 🫣 Paolozzi meets early Photoshop.

And an instance of a fairly silly title style Turing's Mistake, Descartes' Error, Hume's Abject Failure, but how about Hegel's Howler, Bourdieu's Booboo, Fodor's Fuckup, or Dreyfus's Unquenchable Desire to Read Heidegger into Everything, etc.
