Q7 is a band aid. we need more homes made available to those coming into the market, and building more cookie cutters while ignoring extant condemned buildings will not fix the housing crisis. call on your local gov’ts to fix up what’s there before building new ones.

there are as many empty homes as homeless people in massachusetts. free some shit up from the snowbirds and airbnbs, boom, no need for MORE development and crowding.

Q9 is misunderstood. MA already had the strictest firearm laws in the nation before prop135 became law, it makes firearms less accessible and it doesn’t apply to federal officers or LEOs. meaning it is a law designed to restrict only poor civilians.

i am not a fan of guns, but it’s a poorly written law. “assault-style” is not reasonably defined, emergency response prevention orders can be (and are) abused by cops and abusive partners, the “comprehensive” system is nonsense red tape on nonsense red tape.

i’m voting no on 9, not because i’m some gunfucking republican or one of these people who believes only good guns can stop bad guns, but because a better, clearer law is absolutely within MA legislature’s capabilities. allowing bad laws to pass and stay without protest sets a bad precedent.

chapter 135**, not proposition. anyway, it’ll likely stay law in MA because that’s how we work up here and it’s really cool and good for everyone who isn’t a well off white man working as a cop 🫶
