Now that I’ve learned that the right-arrow is the autocomplete gesture in Windows terminal, thank you friends for your help. I now have so many more questions: Why? Why isn’t it space, or tab, or ctrl+space or ctrl+. Like other applications! Where is this feature documented?

Because tab has been tab completion for decades, space is used in typing out your commands, ctrl+space (in PowerShell) has been menu completion for at least a decade. I personally change the suggestions to be a menu and then it's up/down arrow and enter to accept the suggestion.

As for documentation, as Daniel mentioned it is documented. Although to be fair, discoverability in a terminal is not as good as other mediums... And as Jeff noted in his first post on the topic, just describing it in words to search is hard. Ghost text is not how I would search, but I understand it

Assuming you’re using PowerShell, it’s a feature of PSReadLine and documented at learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powers... You can change the key binding if you want. It’s not Tab because that was already in use for autocomplete (which is different than predictive text)
