Is the dryer lint exhaust the same idea as the lint filter on front loading machines? I am concerned that I could be unknowingly disappointing Bird Ben Franklin.

There's a big tube that comes out the back of your dryer and extends all the way to one of the walls of your home to vent outside. Over time, lint will build up in the tube and if it doesn't get cleaned out it can cause a fire.
