I was scrolling universal updater on my 3ds until I spotted nintendo-anime-channel-revival. My first thought was "nintendo made an anime viewing app on the 3DS? what?! I need to go deeper into this." After some searching I found a fandom wiki page for it. Apparently it was used for the pokemon anime

After I managed to get my hands on the revival patch and the app, I listened to the background music and I liked it. My next thought was "I have the tools let's extract the music out of this ROM". I popped it into GM9, decrypted the ROM and moved the CXI to my PC.

Once it was on the PC I extracted the romfs and I found a file layout I had never seen before... I eventually found a file called init.json. I peeked inside (because of yazi) and was shocked to find LUA?!

The music is... OMG STANDARD WAV FILES :D IN THE ROMFS! NO CONVERSIONS NEEDED AND BETTER YET, IT'S IN A RAW FORMAT SO THERE'S 0 DEGRADATION IF I DECIDE TO MAKE THE AUDIO MP3!

My brain wanted to bounce back to the lua code because I just wanted to see it at this point. EVERY FUNCTION IN THE CODEBASE HAS COMMENTS?! IT'S NOT AN OBFUSCATED MESS?!?! I probably can't show anything to crazy but this is the average lua file in the codebase.
