THE TRUMP DOJ IS ESCALATING ITS ATTACK ON CA’S ELECTIONS. Yesterday, federal prosecutors sent threatening letters to election officials across California, giving them just 48 hours to respond to demands involving voters they suspect are noncitizens. 🧵

And here’s the problem: LA County’s review of an earlier DOJ list identified U.S.-born citizens, people who weren’t registered to vote, and people who had never voted.

They’re clearly building toward another confrontation over California’s elections, with Election Day just 10 days away. California is ready! State and local election officials have already been challenging the DOJ’s claims and defending their election procedures.

CA and the rest of non-far-right America need to grow a pair and fckn keep it.
