We got Riven for Xmas 1998 along with a new Mac computer. This Xmas 2024 I got a new CPU/GPU to use with my PSVR2 and the first PC VR game I tried on it was Riven VR. Wanted to say thanks for this remake as I continue into Riven for the first time in like 25 years (I remember only a little of it). ⭐

Riven is an excellent example of the kind of world building I love the most. The beautiful environments immerse you in a chill experience right away, but as you progress and understand more about what is going on, a nebulous feeling of horror can shift how you see everything.

Genuine Question: How many of the workers who worked on Myst are still at Cyan? Followup: For those who no longer are, what lead to their departure? Creative differences? Retirement? The pursuit of alternative career opportunities? Or was it mostly layoffs?

I haven't played the remake, only seen it streamed, but it looks like a truly great remake to a timeless classic—with added stuff! That game was and still is such an inspiration. 💙 Now I need to go play it for real.
