I find traditional media to be very relaxing to do, despite having to figure out what to even do with it when I first got it. It's a nice grounding practice in lieu of having to work on a digital canvas for my day to day job. Would appreciate gouache learning resources if anyone has any!

I saw shorts long time ago of ppl covering their himis w plastic film and putting them on their fridge to avoid mold and mine lives on the fridge and has more than a year and it doesn’t have mold yet so I can attest it works at least 🤣

Yeah!! I saw too many people cleaning theirs from mold so I looked up how to avoid it— I also bought a special spray himi sells that is anti mold and spray it every so often w that just in case lol

I do have the spray! I just didn't know there was the fridge option hahaha, I have heard that the way some people do it is to put the palette behind can topper and reactivate when needed so you don't have to take out the whole thing at all times

makes it lazy to take out tho so I’ve got a dry palette w scooped out paint handy when I want to do gouache and I refill it sometimes
