I'm really delighted to announce that 🎂 `unifont` has turned 1.0 … and it finally has a home! ✨

`unifont` is an abstraction over google, adobe, bunny, fontshare, fontsource, npm + more - you can even build your own providers you: → ask for a family (with optional constraints) ← receive weights, styles, subsets, unicode ranges and `@font-face` data you can use everything is typed + cached

unifont.dev is meant to be both useful - as well as a showcase of what unifont can do. everything happens at runtime in your browser, from listing the catalogue to showing detail pages for each font, and rendering text in it 👉 it also has a small atproto integration using getair.space 👀
v1 also brings arbitrary variable axes, font metrics from providers - and it works in the browser too! thank you @qwerzl.me, @florian-lefebvre.dev, and many others who have made this release possible ❤️ let me know what you think! 🙏
