I love The Westing Game. It won the Newbery in 1979, and it still holds up (not all of them do!). I recently recommended it to my niece, and I hope she loves it as much as I do.

Absolutely loved this book as a kid, and you’ve helped me understand why. (And I’ve never heard America the Beautiful in the same way since.)

A fun homage to the book—but a novel in its own right—is The Parker Inheritance (2018).
