But we are getting something out of social media sites. Not as much as we used to, of course, but there are things that keep us coming back - promoting projects, catching up on creators we like, puppy pictures, etc. You posted this on Bluesky when it could have stayed on your blog. I wrote this.

I'm not being a smartass and I hope no one posts that "But you participate in society I am very smart" Matt Bors cartoon. I'm a fan of yours - still have a stack of Punk Planets somewhere. But we should start by looking at what we DO get out of this and see how we can re-create that elsewhere.

I know finding that better way is sort of the point of your article. I just want to tweak that to say we won't get far unless we look at what social media does offer rather than claim no one's getting anything out of it anymore. Just a nuance, not a yell. Please don't block me.
